Sprinkler Back Flow Preventer & Spigots
A sprinkler system sits in the ground surrounded by soil, standing water and whatever has been put on the lawn. A backflow preventer is the device that stops any of it being drawn back into the drinking water if pressure on the street drops, which is why it is required and why it is worth keeping in good order. It is also the part most likely to split over a hard winter, along with the outside taps, so we handle both on the same visit.

Backflow preventer and isolation valves on a new copper riser outside, tagged and ready to test, with the hose spigot teed in below.
